Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler graduated from Boston University in 1993 with a degree in Media and Communications, where she honed her acting skills as part of an improv troupe. Moving to Chicago, she joined a theater group before making her mark on Comedy Central. In 2001, Poehler joined Saturday Night Live, gaining fame for her irreverent sketches and celebrity impersonations. Her collaboration with Tina Fey on Weekend Update became iconic.
Their success led to film opportunities. Poehler starred alongside Fey in Mean Girls (2004), Man of the Year (2006) with Robin Williams, and Baby Mama (2008). She also voiced characters in animated films like Shrek the Third and Inside Out. On TV, she starred in Arrested Development and achieved acclaim as Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation, which ran for seven seasons until 2015.
In 2016, Poehler reunited with Fey for the comedy film The Nest, portraying sisters planning a grand reunion.
