Eiza González

Daughter of top model Glenda Reyna, Eiza Gonzalez lost her father in a car accident when she was twelve years old. She grew up with her mother, who enrolled her in acting classes. As a teenager, she joined the prestigious Centro de Educación Artística in Mexico City. She was later discovered by a producer who offered her the lead role of the poor but ambitious Dolores 'Lola' Valente in the successful series "Lola, Érase una vez" (2007 - 2008), an adaptation of the Argentine telenovela "Floricienta." The young woman then portrayed the heroine in another series aimed at a young audience, "Sueña conmigo" (2010 - 2011), where she also showcased her singing talents. From 2012 to 2013, she played one of the four protagonists in "Amores verdaderos." In 2014, Eiza Gonzalez made her film debut in the comedy "Casi treinta." Two years later, she joined the cast of "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," a TV adaptation of Robert Rodriguez's cult film. Eiza Gonzalez quickly caught the attention of Hollywood and landed a small role in "Jem and the Holograms" (2016), followed by the female lead in the original action-comedy "Baby Driver" (2017), which truly launched her career in the United States. Since then, she has continued to take on action roles in films such as "Alita: Battle Angel" (2019), "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" (same year), "Bloodshot" (2020), "Godzilla vs. Kong" (2021), and "Ambulance" (2022). In the latter, the actress portrays Camille "Cam" Thompson, a Los Angeles paramedic inadvertently caught up in a high-speed chase between robbers played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and law enforcement. To prepare for the role, Eiza Gonzalez worked closely with consultant paramedic and nurse Dannie Wurtz, who taught her the precision required to care for a critically injured patient aboard an ambulance. Alongside her strong affinity for action roles, Eiza Gonzalez has also excelled in other genres such as fantasy ("Paradise Hills"), drama ("Welcome to Marwen"), and thriller ("I Care A Lot"). The Mexico City native has also remained active in television, appearing in "Extrapolations" in 2022, which explores the social and moral impacts of climate change. She will also star in "The Three-Body Problem," an SF series developed by "Game of Thrones" creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
