Kristen Schaal

Kristen Joy Schaal, an American actress, voice artist, comedian, and writer, is widely recognized for her distinctive roles in television and film. She is perhaps most celebrated for voicing Louise Belcher on Bob's Burgers and Mabel Pines on Gravity Falls. Additionally, her performances as Mel in Flight of the Conchords, Hurshe Heartshe in The Heart, She Holler, and Carol Pilbasian in The Last Man on Earth have garnered significant acclaim.
Her versatility extends to animated series such as BoJack Horseman, where she notably portrayed Sarah Lynn, earning her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. Schaal's other notable roles include Amanda Simmons in The Hotwives of Orlando, Hazel Wassername in 30 Rock, Victoria Best in WordGirl, Trixie in the Toy Story franchise, and Anne in Wilfred. She also made occasional appearances as a commentator on The Daily Show from 2008 to 2016 and voiced Sayrna in the 2019 EA video game, Anthem.
Born in Longmont, Colorado, Schaal grew up on her family's cattle ranch near Boulder. Her background includes Dutch ancestry and a Lutheran upbringing. She attended Skyline High School, graduating in 1996, and later earned her degree from Northwestern University. In 2000, Schaal relocated to New York City to pursue a career in comedy. Her breakout came in 2005 when she was featured in the New York article "The Ten Funniest New Yorkers You've Never Heard Of".
