Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth and his two brothers share a common bond: they are all actors. Liam is the younger brother of Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Luke Hemsworth. Barely an adult, he followed in his brothers' footsteps, starting his career in productions aired in his native country, Australia. He began with commercials and then appeared in about twenty episodes of the successful soap opera "Neighbours", a series that had already featured... his two brothers.
Liam Hemsworth began his American career in 2009, a year that marked the beginning of rapid success. After just two supporting roles (in Alex Proyas's apocalyptic "Knowing" and the horror film "Triangle"), he appeared as a lead actor for the first time. The romance "The Last Song", where he starred opposite Miley Cyrus, made him known to the American public, and especially to the young singer, with whom he shared his life until 2010.
In 2012, Hemsworth was cast in two of the year's biggest action productions. In "The Hunger Games", the first installment adapted from the successful literary trilogy, he portrayed Gale Hawthorne, the best friend of the heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence). The actor also joined the star-studded cast of the action-packed film "The Expendables 2".
A year later, Liam played Chris, a young man aspiring to become a police officer but gets involved in a robbery. He faced off against Dwayne Johnson's tough cop in "Empire State", released on DVD in April 2014. He also starred in the thriller "Paranoia" alongside Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman, though it didn't fare well with audiences.
Hemsworth reprised his role as Gale Hawthorne to aid Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) in the final two installments of "The Hunger Games" franchise - "Mockingjay - Part 1" (2014) and "Part 2" (2015). Meanwhile, he appeared in the thriller "The Dressmaker" alongside Kate Winslet and Isla Fisher. Comfortable in blockbusters, Liam was chosen to join the cast of "Independence Day: Resurgence", the sequel to the highly profitable blockbuster released in 1996. He played the boyfriend of the President's daughter (Maika Monroe).
Often portraying stoic and tough characters, as seen in his roles in "Killerman", "The Duel", and "Arkansas", Liam Hemsworth starred as the protagonist in the series "Most Dangerous Game" in 2020, where a man agrees to participate in a deadly game to save his sick wife.
